Spring Flowers
Spring is here and as we know, “April showers bring May flowers”. Now, while it may take another month before we see the world in living color again, it’s never too soon to adorn oneself with flowers. Floral prints and designs have always been popular as they pertain to fashion; and within the context of jewelry there’s absolutely no exception!
As we see here, actress Dakota Fanning is all dolled up not only for an LA movie premiere, but also for spring. Her main accessory: A multi-color diamond flower ring. The ring is oversized (as are most cocktail rings of this season) but it sparkles like the dickens, and truly compliments her glitzy cocktail dress. Of course, she could very easily wear the same exact ring while shopping on Rodeo drive in a very casual day-time look!
Here at Burdeen’s Jewelry we feature many different kinds of jewelry with “Flower Power”.
Our flower ring pictured here is made from 18K rose gold,
and is pave-set with diamonds as well as 3 shades of pink sapphires. How lovely!

Create your own Oscar look.
Along with her exquisite Givenchy gown, Avatar star, Zoe Saldana wore a stunning violet gemstone ring to the 82nd annual academy awards ceremony.
Wearing a large gemstone ring on your first or second finger is not only fun and fashion forward, it’s easy! With a ring this style, you can leave your bracelets and necklaces in the drawer. Just grab a pair of drop or dangle earrings and you’re out the door.
Pictured here is one of our white gold and diamond 10.69carat amethyst rings. Lucky for you, unlike the jewelry on the red carpet, it’s under $1,000!
Harrison Ford’s Breitling Watch
Celebrities and their love of “high-end” designer timepieces, Breitling to be specific. Watches; just like jewelry for women; have always been the most popular item of adornment in a gentleman’s arsenal. Owning a quality timepiece is not only a quick means of calculating time, it is also an expression of one’s personal style. And in the case of Breitling watches, which are nothing short of mechanical masterpieces, they are a symbol of status.
Pictured here is a photograph of Harrison Ford; “Indiana Jones”; wearing his favorite brand of timepieces, Breitling. The model Harrison’s wearing is the Aerospace; which is part of the Professional Series; and it is a super-light and super-accurate Superquartz timepiece. This watch features a “sporty-yet-classy” look, with its titanium case, that is extremely light and easy to wear. The Aerospace also features basic chronograph functions as well as a countdown timer, a 2nd time zone, an alarm and even a minute repeater. And, like nearly all Breitling models, you can choose from a number of different bracelets or straps to personalize your look. Here, Harrison has chosen the ever-traditional titanium Professional bracelet.
As one of the largest authorized dealers in the Midwest, we at Burdeen’s Jewelry boast an extremely vast collection of Breitling watches, bracelets, and straps; including Harrison Ford’s own timepiece the Aerospace. There are many other celebrities who indulge in Breitling watches; for example; Brad Pitt and Jerry Seinfeld have several. So, if you’re looking for a high-quality, timeless and classic timepiece, perhaps Breitling is the brand for you too!
Burdeen’s Maiden Blog
Hello and welcome everyone to Burdeen’s Jewelry’s NEW blog. In this, our maiden voyage into the blog-o-sphere, we’ve decided to discuss the ever important and popular “Black & white” palette, as it pertains to fashion and more specifically jewelry. Over the years jewelry and fashion trends have come and gone. However, there are those few staples that every woman possesses (or strives to) that will forever be a part of her wardrobe and persona. “Black and white” jewelry and clothing is exactly this sort of staple; and they show no sign of ever becoming irrelevant or obsolete.
As pictured above; Natalie Portman; famous actress; is demonstrating just how versatile a pair of black enamel and white diamond earrings truly are by wearing them with a more casual hairstyle and a semi-formal shell blouse. As most people are aware, the shades of black and white truly do “go” with everything. These same earrings could easily be worn with a little red dress, a perfectly tailored suit, or even a classic white T-shirt and jeans.
Here at Burdeen’s Jewelry we offer many different style and articles of jewelry that fit the “Black & white” profile. Pictured below is an original pair of Burdeen’s black and white diamond striped hoop earrings. And what woman would not love to own a pair of earrings that not only “go” with everything, but will be beautiful and contemporary for a lifetime?!?!
