Burdeen’s Customers on ABC for “Pap[ping] the Question”
North-suburban couple, Ernie Vole and Sarah Willner, appeared on ABC Chicago’s new show, Windy City LIVE, to share their engagement, which was caught by 4 cameras for a new business called “Pap the Question” (Pap as in paparazzi). Ernie had his ring custom-made at Burdeen’s Jewelry for Sarah. The entire proposal was caught on camera in still photographs and included audio through a wire Ernie wore during the proposal.
LeAnn Rimes: On the Red Carpet
LeAnn Rimes attended an event for America’s Got Talent looking dapper. She wore a Dolce&Gabana lacey-starry black dress and rose-gold door-knocker earrings. The talented young country singer has been photographed more frequently since she recently married Eddie Cibrian, a co-star in Northern Lights, a made-for-TV movie.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Strutting in Burdeen’s Styles
In the current season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the ladies run into and cause chaos in lavish style. Whether they meet for tea at Lisa Vanderpump’s expansive mansion or a heated evening of playing pictionary at Taylor Armstrong’s party-planner’s house, the wives (and former wives) wear pieces of jewelry to be noticed.

Fall into Fashion
As any true fashionista would agree, the fashions we see on the Fall Runways are sure to be the “It” look for seasons to come. Louis Vuitton, one of the top names in fasion, paired himself with Christy Turlington this Fall. Together, they have given us a gorgeous new drop style neck piece.
Just as Christy is so professionally exemplifying, a pear shaped gemstone is the perfect design to accentuate the beauty of a woman’s neck line. The elegance of this timeless style makes for a rather smart investment piece.
Matthew Burdeen, one of Chicago’s top names in luxury jewelry, took a special liking to this exquisite pear shaped spinel and diamond necklace. This 5.34carat natural pink spinel is accented with over 4.50carats of brilliant cut, colorless diamonds. Just as Louis Vuitton displayed in his Fall 2011 campaign, this elegant yet fierce style of neck piece is sure to impress for many seasons to come.

Chandeliers
These days there are so many earring styles available to make the perfect statement. You can choose the forever classic hoops, delicate dangles, pearls or even the simple diamond studs. There are so many choices that can perfectly compliment any of your everyday fashions.
However, sometimes you need a little more “wow factor” and that’s when you reach for a pair of chandelier earrings. They frame a face perfectly and tell the world that you are feeling glamorous. A pair of exquisite earrings can transform that little black dress into a stunning red carpet look. These diamond beauties will satisfy any neckline or hair style making them the perfect accessory.
Catherine Zeta Jones appeared on the red carpet at the Golden Globes this year wearing a strapless gown and a lovely pair of chandeliers. She thoroughly demonstrates that the old saying “less is more” still stands. She looks elegant and tasteful having chosen such a clean and simple look. By choosing one or two bold pieces you can make a statement without looking cluttered.
This custom made pair of chandeliers (pictured below) featuring hand set brilliant cut diamonds are available in 18k gold or platinum and are made to have a natural movement allowing the diamonds to display their optimal brilliance.

The Artistry of Jewelry
Located in southern Italy is a small fishing village called Torre Del Grecco. This town holds the world’s most talented craftsmen that have been long recognized for their astonishing hand carved cameos. If you have ever held a cameo and looked upon its ornate details you could not deny their beauty.
Cameos are carved most commonly from Carnelian shells and though they have existed for many centuries they were most popularized by Queen Victoria of England in the late 1800’s. Cameos were commonly worn as a mark of prestige and cultural status.
Today some of the most alluring jewelry pieces have been presented by Gennaro Borriello. Chicago artist and jeweler, Jason Burdeen, has revived the classic cameo and brought it to modern times where it can be worn to express deep meaning and feeds the desire for unique artistry. Every piece holds a story to be told and the meticulous framing of the cameos reveals the care that has been provided in order to encapsulate such feeling.
Burdeen’s Jewelry proudly displays the achievements of the Gennarro Borriello collection. Pictured below is “Twin Souls” pendant shown in 18k rose gold and set with round brilliant cut diamonds.

"Every soul was originally created with a mate which completes that with which we lack and compliments all that we have"

What a Girl Wants
So it’s no secret that women can sometimes be difficult to shop for and around holidays, birthdays, anniversaries and other such gift giving events, you may be left scratching your head, wondering what you can get that special woman in your life. Women like so many things! Well there are two things we know women like for certain and that’s chocolate and of course diamonds are a girl’s best friend. This year combine the two and give her the best of both worlds.
Chocolate diamonds can pair up nicely with a wide variety of clothing and other jewelry pieces. They can be worn for any occasion. You might think to yourself “Wait, are there other types of brown stones?” and the answer is yes, however we must ask in return “Is there any other stone that can scintillate and mesmerize like a diamond?” and the answer is no.
The rich chocolate color combined with the brilliant sparkle of the diamonds in our necklace (pictured below) are truly captivating. This medallion offers a symmetry and style that is best described as being unique and versatile. Enhance any pendant by adding a beautiful rose gold, yellow gold or white gold chain that can add a contrast and make your piece truly one of a kind.
